#9 Endicott sets back UNE, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The #9 Endicott College women's ice hockey team blanked the University of New England, 3-0, in a Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) matchup at Bourque Arena on Friday night.
 
The Gulls (22-2-0, 15-0-0 CHC) scored in each period as they remained undefeated in conference play with just one game remaining. Madison Huber scored on a power play 6:47 into the first period, and Jillian Gibbs extended the lead to 2-0 just 15 seconds into the next period with her league-leading 14th goal of the season. Jade Meier rounded out the scoring with an unassisted tally in the third.
 
Shots heavily favored Endicott, 45-17. Julia Benjamin made 42 stops in the loss for UNE (15-7-2, 10-3-2 CHC). Alyssa Peterson backstopped the shutout for the hosts with 17 saves.
 
The teams close out the regular season tomorrow afternoon at the Harold Alfond Forum at 4 p.m.
