WATERVILLE, Maine – Colby College shutout the University of New England, 4-0, in non-conference women's ice hockey action at Harold Alfond Rink on Tuesday evening.
 
The Mules opened the scoring with a goal by Bri Michaud-Nolan midway through the first period. Anna Cosentino extended the lead to 2-0 in the second period with her fifth goal of the season. Lauren Klein and Lily von Stade assisted on the score. Klein added a power play goal of her own with 23 seconds left in the stanza.
 
Natalie Maus tallied an unassisted goal for Colby in the third period.
 
Shots favored the hosts 38-16 on the day. Savanna Shaw made 16 stops in her first shutout of the year. Julia Benjamin had 34 saves for the Nor'easters.
 
UNE returns home for the Fourth Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, Jan. 31 against Colonial Hockey Conference rival Salve Regina. Face off is set for 4 p.m.
