UNE wins final race to edge Colby-Sawyer, 131-126

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Down four points heading into the last event, the University of New England women's swimming team captured the 200-free relay to defeat Colby-Sawyer College, 131-126, at the Campus Center Pool on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Nor'easters' group of Kelsey Moulton, Haleigh Kology, McKenna Riley, and Haley Griffin clocked a 1:49.16 to edge out the Chargers' Zoe Daudier, Rebecca Lee, Nina Bourdreau, and Leilani Marlow, who finished at 1:50.28.
 
Mikayla Sargent (34.59) and Moulton finished back-to-back atop the 50-breast. UNE also claimed the top two spots in the 100-fly with Griffin (1:08.01) clocking in just behind Olivia Roy (1:06.81). Griffin bested the pack in the 100-free at 57.90.
 
Jinnae Jang captured three races (50-free, 100-breast, 200-IM) for the visitors, beating second-place Sargent (2:27.26) by over six seconds in the 200-IM (2:21.23). Marlow won the 50-back (30.39) and the 100-back (1:06.32).
 
UNE finishes it home schedule on Saturday, Jan. 25 against Elms at 12 p.m.
