CASCO, Maine -- Paced by a round of 78 from rookie Marcus Costa, the University of New England men's golf squad placed 3rd out of five institutions at the John Queenan Memorial hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Tuesday (Sep. 3) at Point Sebago Golf Club.

The Nor'easters posted 328 as a team to finish behind the University of Southern Maine (310) and the host Monks (316), and ahead of the University of Maine-Farmington (336) and Maine Maritime Academy (355).

Supporting Costa for UNE was Colin Casamento with 82, Tom Higgins at 83, and Dylan Andrews with 85.

The low individual total of the day (74) was logged by USM's Brendan Croteau.

The Nor'easters head to Brunswick Golf Club for the two-day Bowdoin College Invitational this weekend.
