Colby-Sawyer races past UNE

Scoring Summary

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Bailey Burt scored four tries to help lead the Colby-Sawyer women's rugby team past the University of New England in National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) Division III action at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Saturday.
 
Julia Anhalt accounted for 23 points, scoring two tries, a penalty kick, and was five-of-nine on conversion attempts. Jordyn Enos also added two tries for the Chargers.
 
Colby-Sawyer jumped ahead 20-0 at the half. Burt scored three of the Chargers' six second-half tries as the visitors cruised to the victory.
 
Mariah Chase led the UNE defense with 10 tackles. Colby Williams added nine and Katie Whitcomb and Selma Bezzat had eight stops each.
 
UNE will take a week off before visiting Colby-Sawyer in New London, N.H. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 12 p.m.
