WENHAM, Mass. -- Anthony Chase topped the field of 88 runners to pace the University of New England men's cross country squad in a sixth consecutive victory at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Saturday (Sep. 21).

The Nor'easters accounted for six in the top-10 individuals to score 26 and wind up in front of Framingham State University (60) and the host Fighting Scots (71) out of the eight competing institutions.

Chase's 8K time of 27:03 was more than one minute faster than the next best. Donovan Duffy (4th; 28:29), Jeff Waters (5th; 28:44), Chris DeYoung (7th; 29:01), and Alec Walker (9th; 29:06) completed the UNE total. Nolan Alexander and Kyle Boucher took 10th and 11th, respectively.

The Nor'easters will have a couple weeks off before the Maine Championship on October 5, which will be hosted by Colby College.
