OAKLAND, Maine -- Led by rounds of 75 and 76 from Tom Higgins and Dylan Andrews, respectively, the University of New England men's golf squad placed 2nd out of nine institutions competing in the Thomas College Invitational played at Waterville Country Club on Tuesday (Sep. 17).

The Nor'easters carded a team score of 320 to wind up behind only the 309 by the University of Southern Maine. Husson University (321) and the host Terriers (326) were next in line.

Higgins shared the second-best number of the day, five strokes back of the even-par 70 of USM 's Greg Kalagais.

UNE's total received contributions from Colin Casamento (84) and Marcus Costa (85).

The Nor'easters will get ready for the qualifying round of the 2020 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Golf Championship on Thursday at Wilbraham Country Club in Massachusetts.
