BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Jake Hickey and Anthony Chase had top-10 showings to lead the University of New England men's cross country team in a 3rd-place effort out of the 11 competing institutions in the UNE Invitational on Saturday (Sep. 14) at Rotary Park.

The Nor'easters scored 67 to settle in standings behind Trinity College (34) and Franklin Pierce University (41), and in front of Maine Maritime Academy (141).

Hickey was eight seconds off the top pace of FPU's Riley Fenoff, with an 8K time of 25:15 that was good for 3rd place in the field of 132. Chase clocked 26:06 to claim the 5th spot.

Donovan Duffy (14th; 27:23), Jeff Waters (20th; 28:14), and Chris DeYoung (25th; 28:37) rounded out the UNE total. Alec Walker (26th; 28:42), Nolan Alexander (29th; 28:49), and Kyle Boucher (32nd; 28:54) were right in the mix, as well.

The Nor'easters are off to Gordon College next Saturday for the Pop Crowell Invitational.
