NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University came away with a 37-19 victory over the University of New England in the women's rugby team's season finale on Saturday afternoon in Vermont.
 
The Cadets stormed out to 27-5 lead at halftime, but the Nor'easters were able to outscore the hosts 14-10 in the second half.
 
Sydney Rees was stellar on both side of the ball as she scored a try and led the team with 43 combined tackles on defense. Emma Foss and Jenni Laferriere each added tries of their own. Laferriere was also involved in 39 tackles for the Nor'easters. Zoe Adams converted on two of three kick attempts.
 
UNE combined to make a total of 269 tackles on the day.
