BIDDEFORD, Maine – Endicott College defeated the University of New England by a 20-7 margin on Wednesday afternoon at UNE Blue Bolt Field to cap an unblemished regular-season and clinch the lone first-round bye in the 2019 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse Championship.
The Nor'easters (9-7, 6-2 CCC) settle in the No.3 seed and will host sixth-seeded Salve Regina University in opening-round action on Saturday (1 p.m.)

Jennifer Lacroix scored five goals for the Gulls (12-5), and Meghan Dutchyshyn added four goals to the victory.
Keara Dwyer (4) and
Molly Camelo (3) provided all the scoring for the Nor'easters.
Camelo tied the score 1-1 early in the first half, but Endicott scored the next eight to take a 9-1 lead with 9:53 to play in the period. Endicott was up by as many as nine until Dwyer scored twice in the closing 1:21 to cut the deficit to 11-4 at halftime.
UNE's final total of seven goals was the most allowed by the Gulls during the conference slate.
Bella Rino made nine saves for Endicott, which held a 32-19 advantage in shots.
Taylor Hopkins and
Maritza Nary combined for seven stops for Nor'easters.
