BIDDEFORD, Maine – The 18th-ranked Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team won a non-conference matchup with University of New England, 24-2, on Wednesday afternoon at UNE Blue Bolt Field.
 
The Polar Bears (2-3) received goals from 14 different players, led by Hadley Carlton and Katie Miller with three each. Eliza Denious led the squad with five points from a goal and four assists, and Kara Finnerty controlled the draw with a game-high seven. Erin Morrissey and Aaliyah Biondo combined for three saves.
 
Molly Camelo scored her team-leading 17th goal of the year for the Nor'easters (3-4) in the opening period, when Taylor Hopkins recorded four stops. Casey Conwell added her 10th of the season in the second half, while Katie Babineau posted three saves.
 
UNE opens Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday at Nichols College.
