CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The University of New England women's swimming team placed 10th from the 20 competing institutions at the 2019 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships, which wrapped up the fourth day of action Sunday evening (Feb. 24) at the Zesiger Center on the campus of MIT.
Simmons University backed up its 2018 title with another victory, notching 1410.5 points to edge Roger Williams University (1257), Brandeis University (1115.5), and Keene State College (1018), with Bridgewater State University (676) rounding out the top five. The Nor'easters (415) wound up behind ninth-place Eastern Connecticut State University (473) and just ahead of Colby-Sawyer College (366).
Haley Griffin registered two All-New England finishes for UNE.
