BEVERLY, Mass. -- Addi Williams finished a rebound in front with 3:16 remaining to give top-seeded Endicott College a 3-2 result against second-seeded University of New England in the final of the 2019 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Hockey Championship on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 9) at North Field.

The Gulls (18-4) capture the league title for the second straight year, as well as the CCC's automatic bid into the 2019 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship, which begins Wednesday.

The Nor'easters, who were appearing in their seventh consecutive final, wrap up the season with a record of 12-10.

Endicott jumped out to a quick 2-0 advantage with goals by Blake Braman (CCC 2nd Team) and Jaylin Grabau (CCC 2nd Team) in the 7th and 11th minutes, respectively. But just 100 seconds later, Lindsay Bruns (CCC Rookie of the Year) split the difference to get the Nor'easters on the board.

The 2-1 margin held into the 4th quarter when Bruns netted another (46th minute) to square the match. Down the stretch, the Gulls earned three penalty corners in-a-row and generated five shots off them, with Williams putting the last into the net for the deciding marker.

Taylor Farrin (CCC 1st Team) made seven saves for the hosts, and received a defensive stop from Emily Graham (CCC 1st Team) in the second period. For UNE, which was out-shot 23-13, Liz Sargent (CCC 1st Team) posted eight saves.
