BIDDEFORD, Maine – Marykate Drinkwater scored her first two goals of the season at the University of New England picked up a 2-1 victory over Becker in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) women's hockey action at the Harold Alfond Forum on Friday.
 
Drinkwater put home a rebound off a shot by Shannon Nadeau on a power play to give the Nor'easters a 1-0 lead in the first period [Watch]. The lead would last until 5:48 remaining in the second period when Gabby Petrisin tied the score on a long shot from the top of the right circle.
 
With 11:37 left to play, Drinkwater scored the game-winner as she sent in the rebound off a wraparound try by Jenna Pych. [Watch]
 
The Nor'easters outshot the Hawks 42-22 on the night. Julia Benjamin made 21 stops to earn the win in net. Madelyn Morgan had 40 saves in the loss.
 
The teams return to action tomorrow night at the Worcester Ice Center at 6:40 p.m.
