MANCHESTER, Maine -- Dylan Andrews and Marcus Costa carded rounds of 77 to position the University of New England men's golf team for a 2nd-place finish out of nine squads in the Maine Maritime Academy's Mariner Invitational on Thursday (Oct. 3) at Augusta Country Club.

The Nor'easters (312) ended four strokes back of the University of Southern Maine's 308, and six ahead of Thomas College (318) in the third spot. UNE has now been runner-up to the Huskies in the last four events within the state.

Andrews and Costa tied for fourth individually in the field of 45 golfers. Hunter Drew and Tom Higgins added 79 apiece for the Nor'easters to wrap up the team total.

Tristan Dundas and Kyle Morin of Southern Maine shared the low score of the day -- a 5-over-par 75.

UNE gets set for the two-day USM Fall Classic, which will begin Sunday at Gorham Country Club.
