BREWSTER, Mass. -- The University of New England men's golf squad wound up sharing 14th place after shooting a two-day total of 671 as the 85th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Division III Championship wrapped up play on Monday (Oct. 21) at The Captains Course.

Babson College topped the 22-team field with a score of 589 (291-298), comfortably ahead of Johnson & Wales University at 604 (301-303) and then Nichols College at 620 (314-306). Nicholas Gianelos of Babson finished as the low individual after an even-par round of 72 in Round 2 and an overall total of 145 (+1).

The Nor'easters backed up their opening 331 with 340, that included Tom Higgins with 81, Dylan Andrews at 85, and both Marcus Costa and Rob Prentiss with 87. Andrews had a piece of 51st place with a 36-hole total of 165; the other tournament totals included 166 (Higgins), 171 (Costa and Prentiss), and 172 (Hunter Drew).

UNE will be back in action April 25-26 as one of the four teams vying for the 2020 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Golf Championship, which will be hosted Nichols College.
