NEW LONDON, N.H. -- The University of New England women's swimming team captured 10 of 12 individual races to roll over Colby-Sawyer College by a 152-85 margin on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 19) at Knight Natatorium.

Haley Griffin racked up three solo victories for the Nor'easters (3-3), in the 200-freestyle (2:08.94), 50-freestyle (26.32), and 200-backstroke (2:19.84).

McKenna Riley and Taylor Gibson notched first-place points in two events each; Riley narrowly topped the 50-backstroke (+0.08) with a time of 31.21, and later took the 200-IM (2:30.81), while Gibson claimed the 1,000-freestyle (12:33.82) and 500-freestyle (6:03.73) swims.

Riley would've matched Griffin's three wins if it weren't for Melissa Jakubowski, who clocked a 59.49 to take the 100-freestyle by 0.39 seconds. Taryn Leach was 0.30 faster than Colby-Sawyer in the 50-butterfly (30.29), and Kelsey Moulton bested the field in the 200-breaststroke (2:55.29).

UNE heads for Elms College next Saturday.
