Ryan Bloom recorded his second-consecutive multi-goal game to lead the #12 University of New England men's ice hockey team over Colby 4-1 on Tuesday evening at the Harold Alfond Forum.
Brendan Donohue found
Aaron Aragon in front of the net for a goal early in the first period as the Nor'easters took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission [

Colby came out firing in the second period, outshooting UNE 17-7, but
Tate Sproxton was able to keep the Mules off the board with numerous highlight-reel saves [

Bloom put the game away with a power-play and shorthanded goal in the final frame [

Watch]. He now leads the Nor'easters with 12 goals on the year. Fleurent connected for three assists on the night, while
Dimitris Jones added two helpers.
Both Sproxton and Mack Burton made 28 saves each. Sproxton improved to 4-0 on the year. UNE killed off all five Colby power play chances.
The Nor'easters return to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Friday night on the road at Becker. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
