BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Paced by another winning effort from Jacob Hickey, the University of New England men's cross country team topped its own invitational on Saturday morning (Sep. 8) at Rotary Park with a team score of 20.

A year removed from a three-peat in the event, the Nor'easters separated themselves at the front of the pack to breeze past Wentworth Institute of Technology (67) and Saint Joseph's College of Maine (78) in the six-team field.

Hickey dominated the 63-runner race with an 8K time of 25:39 -- 70 seconds faster than teammate Ben Wright in 2nd place (26:49). UNE's Anthony Chase took 3rd with 27:05, before Donovan Duffy (6th, 28:02) and Xander Vitarelli (8th, 28:29) capped the scoring effort.

The Nor'easters now have two weeks off until the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College on September 22.
