KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine -- Colin Casamento fired a 3-over-par round of 72 to help the University of New England men's golf team to a runner-up finish out of six institutions at the UNE Invitational on Thursday (Sep. 27) at Cape Arundel Golf Club.

The Nor'easters totaled 305 as a squad to end up behind the University of Southern Maine (298), which captured the 2017 edition of the event with an identical score. The hosts landed ahead of the University of Maine-Farmington (312), Endicott College (315), Saint Joseph's College of Maine (320), and Maine Maritime Academy (340).

Casamento was one stroke off the individual low of the day (71), which was carded by USM's Greg Kalagias.

Hunter Drew placed 5th in the field of 30 with a career-low score of 74, and Dylan Andrews shared 9th at 76. UNE's number was rounded out by Michael Rich (83), and Garrett Krisko tallied 84.

The Nor'easters are back in action Friday at Gorham Country Club for the modified-format Southern Maine Cup.
