WENHAM, Mass. -- For the third time in as many races this season, Jacob Hickey and Ben Wright finished 1-2 as the University of New England men's cross country team ran away with the 17-team Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Saturday (Sep. 22).

It was the fifth straight win in the event for the Nor'easters, who totaled 25 points to defeat Wentworth Institute of Technology (57) and Eastern Connecticut State University (80).

Hickey completed the 8K course in 25:36 -- 73 ticks in front of Wright (26:49) and the field of 140 runners. After six winning performances by individuals over the last 20+ years of the UNE program, Hickey now has three victories of his own in 2018.

Fourth place went to Anthony Chase (27:19) and sixth place fell to Donovan Duffy (27:44), while Caleb Pulliam capped the team score by claiming the 12th position (28:18).

UNE gets back to work in a week (September 29) at the Maine Championship hosted by Bowdoin College.
