BOSTON -- The University of New England women's lacrosse team used nine different players to account for a season-high goal total, picking up a 24-10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's lacrosse decision against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 24) at Sweeney Field.
With the result, UNE (7-8, 4-4 CCC) books its place in the league postseason championship which begins on Saturday. The sixth-seeded Nor'easters will visit third-seeded Western New England University in the opening round at 1:00 p.m.

Keara Dwyer paced the victorious attack with five goals and three assists for a season-high in points.
Jolena Lampron chipped in four markers, to go with five draw controls and four caused turnovers. Three goal apiece came from
Anna Stowell,
Mackenzie Collins, and
Casey Conwell; Stowell added four caused turnovers of her own. Conwell and
Korinne Bohunsky matched Dwyer's three assists, while
Megan O'Grady and
Molly Camelo each scored twice.
Kasey Rubenstein picked up a game-best seven ground balls for UNE, which received its other remaining goals from Bohunsky and
Natasha Nary.
Maritza Nary and
Taylor Hopkins split time in goal, combining for 11 saves.
Things were tied at 1-all after 68 seconds of action, before the Nor'easters rattled off nine unanswered over a 9:27 span. UNE has won each of the six all-time meetings versus Wentworth.
Emily Rogers notched four goals and 10 draws to lead the Leopards (6-9, 2-6 CCC). Leah Cummins added three scores, and Lily Kuhns recorded 10 saves in just under 51 minutes of work defending the cage.
Saturday's first-round date with the Golden Bears will mark the second straight year that the teams have squared off in the conference tournament. Back of March 31 of this campaign, UNE never trailed and dialed up the last five goals to pull away from Western New England to an 11-4 victory.
