#21 Polar Bears turn back Nor'easters

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Eleven different players scored for No.21 Bowdoin College in a 22-6 women's lacrosse decision against the University of New England on Tuesday evening (Mar. 6) at Ryan Field.

Katherine Miller led the balanced attack for the Polar Bears (2-0) with four goals, while Eliza Denious and Kate Kelly added three apiece. Hannah Hirschfeld had a team-best five points (2 goals, 3 assists), and Kayli Weiss made seven saves (3 GA) in 48:30 of action defending the cage.

For the Nor'easters (1-1), Korinne Bohunsky netted three goals and shared the game-high of four draw controls. Molly Camelo and Anna Stowell accounted for the rest of the scoring. Splitting time in goal, Maritza Nary and Taylor Hopkins recorded eight and two saves, respectively.

UNE will get back to work in preparation for a visit to Castleton University on Monday (4 p.m.).
