BEVERLY, Mass. -- Jennifer Lacroix registered eight goals and assisted on two more as Endicott College picked up a 21-5 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's lacrosse decision against the University of New England on Tuesday night (Mar. 27) at Hempstead Stadium.
The Gulls, last season's league champions, improve to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in CCC games. The Nor'easters drop back to 3-5 on the year (0-1 CCC).
After netting the opening goal, which was then matched by UNE, Lacroix scored four times during an 8-0 run that distanced EC from the Nor'easters.
Meghan Dutchyshyn added five markers for Endicott, and Alex Fitzgerald accounted for three goals. In addition to a trio of assists, Gabriella Prisco collected eight draw controls. Bella Rino stopped eight shots in front of the cage.
UNE got two goals and an assist from
Keara Dwyer.
Korinne Bohunsky,
Mackenzie Collins, and
Molly Camelo also found the back of the net.
Jolena Lampron finished with game-highs of five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Maritza Nary and
Taylor Hopkins split time in goal to combine for seven saves.
The Nor'easters will be back at home on Saturday (1 p.m.) for a conference date with Western New England University.
