BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The University of New England women's swimming team wrapped up the two-day Maine State Meet on Saturday (Dec. 1) at the Greason Pool on the campus of Bowdoin College.

Haley Griffin posted a fifth-place showing in the 50-butterfly with a time of 25.52, just 1.11 seconds off the pace of competitors representing Bowdoin and Bates College. She also clocked a time of 56.70 in the 100-freestyle, and a 2:20.55 in the 200-backstroke.

MiKayla Sargent was less than two seconds back in the 50-breaststroke with a 33.61, which was good for 10th place.

The Nor'easters will now break until January 19 and a visit to Colby-Sawyer College.
