BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Endicott College women's hockey team used a couple first-period goals to skate to a 2-0 victory over the University of New England in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action on Saturday at Harold Alfond Forum.
Courtney Sullivan found the back of the net just 51 seconds into the game to put the Gulls (2-1-1, 1-1-0 CHC) in front for good. Madison Huber extended the lead to 2-0 with a shot from the blue line that trickled into the net midway through the period.
The Nor'easters (4-1, 3-1 CHC) were out-shot 28-20 on the night; Alyssa Peterson turned away all 20 shots she faced to earn her first shutout for Endicott, while
Julia Benjamin made 26 saves for the hosts.
UNE returns to the ice on Friday, Nov. 16 on the road at Morrisville State College. Puck drops at 4 p.m.
