MANCHESTER, Maine -- The University of New England men's golf squad took seventh place out of eight teams at the Maine Maritime Academy Mariner Invitational, which was played Thursday (Oct. 4) at the par-70 Augusta Country Club.

Husson University, behind the low individual number of the day (74) by Nick Mazurek, won the event with a total of 306. The University of Southern Maine (311) and Colby College (317) filled out the next two spots, while the Nor'easters came in a 336.

Scoring for UNE was Michael Rich with an 80, Dylan Andrews at 82, and both Seth Semmelrock and Hunter Drew with rounds of 87.

The Nor'easters will compete in the two-day Southern Maine Fall Classic at Gorham Country Club that begins on Sunday.
