Dylan Andrews posted a four-over-par round of 74 to lead the University of New England men's golf team to a runner-up finish out of six institutions competing at the Thomas College Invitational on Sunday (Sep. 24) at Waterville Country Club.
The Nor'easters had four scores in the 70's to register 310, trailing only Saint Joseph's College (297) in the standings. The University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine-Farmington both wound up at 311, one back of Big Blue.
Andrews shared 2nd place individually, five strokes off the pace (69) set by Adam Bachelder of SJC.
Hunter Drew came in with 78 for UNE, while
Garrett Krisko and
Michael Rich each fired 79.
The Nor'easters will host the UNE Invitational on Tuesday (10 a.m.) at Cape Arundel Golf Club in Kennebunkport.
