BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The University of New England men's cross country squad took 4th place in a field of nine teams at the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday afternoon (Sep. 16).
A team score of 24 was good enough for the host Polar Bears on the day, besting NCAA II Merrimack College (44), Plymouth State University (79), and the Nor'easters (122).
Bowdoin's Ben Torda set the pace among the 105 runners, clocking an 8-kilometer time of 25:57.
Donovan Duffy posted the top time for the UNE contingent at 27:53, which placed 16th overall.
Ben Wright (19th),
Matthew Toussaint (25th),
Caleb Pulliam (38th), and
Jon Zalman (47th) rounded out the scoring for Big Blue.
The Nor'easters enter next Saturday's Pop Crowell Invitational (Gordon College) with three straight wins at the event.
