Nor'easters finish 4th at CCC Championship

LONGMEADOW, Mass. -- The University of New England totaled a 326 in round two of the 2017 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Golf Championship to wind up in fourth place, as play concluded Sunday afternoon (Apr. 30) at Twin Hills Country Club.

Endicott College, which entered the day with a five-stroke edge in the team competition, held on to claim the title by one over Western New England University. The Gulls' score of 606 (304-302) beat out the 607 (309-298) by the Golden Bears, with Nichols College 11 back at 617 (319-298).

Patrick Hesseltine of Nichols trailed by one through 18 holes, but logged the lone sub-par round on Sunday -- a 3-under 68 -- to capture the individual honor at 143. Athan Goulas of Endicott placed second with a 36-hole mark of 146 (74-72).

For the Nor'easters (668), Sam Kinasewich led the way with a two-day score of 163 (85-78). Garrett Krisko with 167 (84-83), Michael Rich with 168 (85-83), Ryan Mahoney with 170 (88-82), and Seth Semmelrock with 173 (88-85) rounded out the team effort.
