BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The State University of New York (SUNY) at Canton recorded a 3-0 women's ice hockey win over the University of New England on Friday afternoon (Dec. 8) at the Harold Alfond Forum.
Ending their three-game skid, the Kangaroos (5-4) got on the board 4:05 into the contest on an unassisted goal by Tess Adams. The visitors doubled the margin at 17:16 of the 1st period, when Grace Page poked in a rebound after a shot from Sydney Jordan.
SUNY Canton added to the lead midway through the 2nd, as Adams setup Alyssa Hein for a wrist-shot from the blue line.
Brooke Susac backstopped the shutout with 35 saves in the Kangaroos' net.
For the Nor'easters (4-3-4),
Caty Flagg posted 18 saves through 40 minutes, before
Annie Rademacher logged eight the rest of the way.
The two teams will skate again on Saturday (2 p.m.).
