BOSTON – Jason Erichsen won three individual events to lead Simmons College in a 190-72 women's swimming decision over the University of New England on Saturday (Nov. 18) at the Holmes Sports Center.

Erichsen captured the 50 backstroke, 500 freestyle, and 400 IM to guide the Sharks (5-2), who secured both relays and notched eight more race wins. Aine Scholand was the only other competitor to recorded two first-place showings, in the 1650 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

For the Nor'easters (3-2), Kayla Burgess earned top points with her 1:02.18 in the 100 butterfly. Taryn Leach was just 0.44 behind Erichsen in the 50 backstroke (31.23); Faith Belleavoine also had a close second-place effort, touching the wall 0.80 off the pace set by Simmons' Elizabeth Bartlett in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.10).

UNE will travel to the Bridgewater State University Invitational in two weeks (Dec. 2).
