WENHAM, Mass. -- Eleven individual event victories powered the University of New England women's swimming team to a 171-83 decision on Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 17) at the Bennett Center.

Lindsey Thomsen led the way for the Nor'easters (5-2), picking up three top results in the 50-freestyle (25.95), 50-butterfly (29.19), and 100-individual medley (1:06.70). Her time in the fly was just 0.08 seconds ahead of Gordon's Amber Collard.

Eleni Bautz had a pair of wins in support, coming in the 200-freestyle (2:07.79) and 100-freestyle (57.31). Both first-place showings by Jordan Earley came in tightly-contested races alongside Gordon's Leah Snavely and teammate Briana Goud. In the 50-breaststroke, Earley (36.11) edged Snavely (+0.19) and Goud (+0.63). The order was the same in the 100-breaststroke, as Earley (1:18.07) barely out-touched Snavely (+0.07) with Goud (+0.67) not far behind.

Kayla Burgess claimed the 100-butterfly in 1:06.14, and Taryn Leach won the 50-backstroke in 31.56 to round out the day for UNE. Second to Leach in the back was Andrea Rybicki (+0.46).

The group of Leach, Thomsen, Burgess, and Bautz teamed to capture the 200-medley relay (2:01.57).

For the Fighting Scots (3-3), Amber Bragg notched the only individual triumph in the 100-backstroke (1:06.65). Gordon also bettered the Nor'easters in the 200-freestyle relay (1:49.08).
