BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Jocelyn Davee and Korinne Bohunsky each tallied four goals to pace the University of New England in a 13-3 women's lacrosse victory over Thomas College on Tuesday (Mar. 1) at the Big Blue Turf.

After the teams exchanged the first two scores, the Nor'easters (2-0) connected for the next nine more before halftime while keeping the Terriers (0-1) off the board and go up 10-1.

Both Davee and Bohunsky registered five-point afternoons, and Natasha Nary contributed four with a goal and three helpers. Tori Stock chipped in with a pair of markers early on for the hosts, who totaled a 36-9 advantage in shots and 35-12 cushion in ground balls. Bohunsky also had four draw controls.

Defensively for UNE, Kasey Rubenstein and Jolena Lampron led the way with five ground balls and two caused turnovers apiece. Maritza Nary needed to make just three 1st-half saves to pick up the win in her first collegiate start between the pipes.

For Thomas, Samantha Greenlaw netted two goals. Erin Nelligan notched the other as time expired in the 2nd period, and finished with five caused turnovers, five ground balls, and four draws. Brittany Fox recorded 16 saves.

The Nor'easters will hit the road for the first time in 2016 with a visit to Wellesley College on Saturday (1 p.m.).
