BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Kerry Fleming registered a team-high three event victories (100-, 200-, and 500-freestyle) to lead Simmons College to a 187-74 women's swimming decision against the University of New England on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 19) at the Campus Center Pool.
The Sharks (6-0) got a pair of wins in support from both Miriam Swisher and Hannah Plourde, while four others captured one triumph apiece. Simmons also took both relay events.
Lindsey Thomsen was the lone winner for the Nor'easters (3-2), touching first in the 50-butterfly (28.41) by just 0.2 seconds ahead of Michaela Morris from Simmons.
Swisher and Natalie Giraldi edged Thomsen in two other sprints -- Swisher in the 50-freestyle (25.28) by 0.73 ticks, and Giraldi by 1.1 seconds in the 50-breaststroke (32.06).

Taryn Leach were neck-and-neck in the 50-backstroke, with List clocking 30.44 and Leach coming in 0.67 later.
The Nor'easters will get back to work in two weeks at the Colby-Sawyer College Invitational on December 3.
