BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin College women's rugby team concluded its season on a high note, topping the University of New England, 32-22, Saturday (Nov. 12) at Pickard Field.
The Polar Bears wrap up their 2016 schedule with a mark of 6-2, while the Nor'easters finish at 5-3. The contest was a rematch of a Oct. 7 meeting when the Nor'easters claimed a 31-15 road win.
Kassidy Towne had two tries to lead the UNE offense.
Jennifer Laferriere and
Caitlin Paredes added one apiece, while
Emily Richard had a conversion.
Defensively, the Nor'easters were paced by
Caroline Jaeger with seven tackles.
Zoe Adams and
Emily Morris each had five, and
Amanda Sancomb,
Heather Baron and
Sydney Rees added five apiece.
