The Polar Bears won their second consecutive contest to improve to 3-4-0, while the Nor'easters saw their four-game winning streak come to an end to drop to 5-5-1.

Solomon gave the visitors the only scoring they would need at 12:25 of the first period, connecting on a shot from a difficult angle just below the left circle. Cassidy Pratt set-up the tally. The Polar Bears took that 1-0 advantage into intermission after outshooting UNE 16-10 in the frame.

Bowdoin notchedpair of second-period goals to take control of the contest. With her team on the power play, Solomon potted a slap shot from the low slot, one-timing a feed from Ariana Bourque. Solomon's third goal of the season came just 2:18 into the frame.

The Polar Bears made the score 3-0 at 16:51 when Madeline Hall received a pass in the slot from Maureen Greason, deked UNE goaltender Sydney Helmbrecht, and deposited the puck into the empty net. Jill Rathke was credited with a secondary assist.

Crofton made a pair of brilliant stops in the second to keep the Nor'easters off the board. She stoned Abby Kinens on a breakaway eight minutes into the period, and then deflected a shot by Kierra Wright from the low slot with her shoulder at the 15:00 mark.

Bowdoin, which travels to Williams College for a series next Friday and Saturday, finished the day with a 33-23 margin in shots on goal.

Helmbrecht totaled 30 saves for the Nor'easters, who return to action Friday at home versus Becker College (4 p.m.).
