Sydney Helmbrecht in a 5-1 non-league win over SUNY Canton in a women's ice hockey game played Friday evening at the Harold Alfond Forum.
Winners of their last three contests, the Nor'easters even their record at 4-4-1. The Kangaroos now stand at 4-6-1.

UNE, which led from start-to-finish, converted a power-play opportunity at 14:23 of the first to get on the scoreboard.Â
Annie Mullen found
Marissa Clifford-Biederman with a pass from behind the cage, and Clifford-Biederman one-timed the feed into the goal from the left circle.
Gabby Crugnale was credited with a secondary assist.
The Nor'easters pulled away in the second period with a pair of goals.
Emily Corrales doubled UNE's lead halfway through the frame, firing a wrist shot from the right circle that ricocheted off the far post and into the net.
Julianne Sheehan assisted on the play. Crugnale would make the score 3-0 at 15:45, intercepting a SUNY Canton pass in its defensive zone before weaving her way around two Roo defenders and beating goaltender Illie Berisha.
UNE continued to attack in the third and pushed its cushion to 4-0 when
Mary Wirth cleaned up a rebound of her own saved shot at the 7:21 mark.
Melissa Boudreau and Clifford-Biederman set-up the goal.
The Roos cracked the scoring column with 11:23 elapsed as Rhea Coad poked in a rebound after Mariah McCue's shot from the point was stopped by Helmbrecht.
The scoring came to a close less than a minute later when
Shannon Reynolds notched her first marker of the season with Wirth and
Haley Gorman assisting.
Helmbrecht finished with 28 saves to earn her third straight favorable decision. Berisha had 27 stops for the Roos.
Both teams will face one another again tomorrow. Start time at the Alfond Forum is scheduled for 3 p.m.
