SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College received a pair of event wins each from Cathleen Pruden, Annie Kuenning, and Bri Groves on the way to a 146-111 women's swimming victory over the University of New England on Saturday (Nov. 7) at the MHC Natatorium.

In all, six different swimmers captured races for the Lyons (1-1), with Emily Craig, Claire Beckett, and Katie Tyler supporting with one top finish apiece.

For the Nor'easters (2-1), Lindsey Thomsen took the 50-freestyle in 25.44, edging Tyler of MHC by 0.41 seconds. Thomsen also placed second to Pruden in the 100-breaststroke.

Emily Chamberlain picked up another victory for UNE, posting a 5:38.47 in the 500-freestyle. Earlier in the meet, Chamberlain was second to Pruden in the 1,000-freestyle.

Kayla Burgess recorded two runner-up touches on the day in the 200-freestyle and 100-butterfly.

Big Blue will continue its schedule next Saturday (Nov. 14) at Husson University.
