Balance pushes Big Blue past Husson, 166-88

BANGOR, Maine -- Six different swimmers won individual events for the University of New England in a 166-88 triumph over Husson University on Saturday evening (Nov. 14) at Webber Pool.

The Nor'easters (3-1) started rolling with a top result in the 200 medley relay, as Andrea Rybicki, Lindsey Thomsen, Kayla Burgess, and Eleni Bautz coasted the wall first.

Rybicki also claimed a pair of races on her own in the 50 freestyle (28.37) and 200 backstroke (2:33.00). Burgess tallied two as well -- the 200 butterfly (2:27.59) and 100 butterfly (1:06.39). Emily Chamberlain joined the multiple winners for UNE, taking first place in the 200 freestyle (2:08.30) and 500 freestyle (5:40.72).

For the Eagles (1-2), Lara Sarett won in the 50 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke.

Cassie Berger (100 backstroke - 1:09.56), Emily Fellows (1,000 freestyle - 11:51.64), and Thomsen (100 freestyle - 56.98) rounded out the Nor'easters' top-scoring performances.

Big Blue heads to Simmons College next Saturday (1 p.m.).
