ResultsBRISTOL, R.I. -- The University of New England women's swimming team placed third out of five teams at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Invitational, which was contested Saturday (Oct. 24) on the campus of Roger Williams University. The host Hawks swam away with the event, totaling 257 points.
After Clark University (89), the Nor'easters notched 55 points to end ahead to Gordon College (42) and Western New England University (31).
Lindsey Thomsen tallied a pair of second-place efforts as an individual, clocking 25.68 in the 50-freestyle and a 1:13.51 in the 100-breaststroke.
Thomsen also closed the 400-freestyle relay for UNE, which resulted in the third-fastest time (4:06.60) in the race.
Emily Chamberlain,
Kayla Burgess, and
Eleni Bautz led-off the performance.
Big Blue heads to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth next Saturday (Oct. 31) for a 1 p.m. meet.
