ResultsSTANDISH, Maine -- With some of its runners competing at a different event, the University of New England men's cross country team placed third out of 13 teams at the Runnin' Monks Invitational held Saturday (Oct. 10) on the campus of St. Joseph's College of Maine.
UNE had a team score of 108 to finish behind the University of Maine Farmington (56) and Lasell College (101). UMF's Robert Hollis was the individual winner, recording a time of 27:33.
Matt O'Brien was the first Nor'easter to cross the finish line for the first time in his career. The senior clocked a time of 30:18. He was followed closely behind by
Drew York, who was a place back at 30:20.
Taylor Vogt (21st; 30:31),
Peter Swan (26th; 30:46) and
Dan White (28th; 30:55) rounded out Big Blue's list of scoring runners.
The Nor'easters' full squad is back in action next Saturday at the State of Maine Championship.
