CASCO, Maine -- The University of New England claimed third place out of the four teams on Tuesday (Sep. 23) at the John Queenan Memorial hosted Saint Joseph's College at the par 72 layout of Point Sebago Golf Club.

The University of Southern Maine took the team title with a score of 321, followed by the host Monks at 344. The Nor'easters (351) and the University of Maine-Farmington (354) rounded out the field.

For Big Blue, first-year Ben McCollough finished with an 84. Classmate Mike Richard carded an 85, and junior Troy Eaton posted 86. Completing the UNE score were juniors Dan Nadeau and Ben Wyman, each with a 96.

Mike Caron of Saint Joseph's came in with an even-par round of 72 for medalist honors.

The Nor'easters are back in action Friday at Gorham Country Club for the Southern Maine Cup, a modified-format event.
