The victory improves the Hawks' overall mark to 5-6, 2-1 in conference play. UNE now stands at 6-5 (1-2 CCC).
Pingree tallied a game-high six goals while Machette added five to fuel the Roger Williams attack. Samantha Davenport contributed three goals, and Kelsey Rahilly and Jessica Searl scored two goals apiece. Rahilly handed out seven assists for the Hawks, who led in shots (42-32).
Rachel Schwaner scored three times to lead the way for UNE.
Hannah Tavella notched a pair of goals and
Katie Cawley had the other goal.
Gina Newsome set-up a pair of scores.
The Hawks jumped on the Nor'easters early, opening up a 6-0 lead just 10 minutes into the match. Pingree had half of RWU's six-goal output during that stretch.
The Nor'easters would score four of the next six goals to pull within four (8-4), but Roger Williams found the cage three more times before the end of the half to take an 11-5 edge into intermission.
Roger Williams limited Big Blue to just one marker after halftime to win going away.
Winning goalkeeper Kimberly Bolk had 16 saves for the Hawks, who got six draw controls from Mackenzie Logan.
Courtney Kendall had one save in the opening 12:15 before being relieved by
Lauryn Huck, who stopped 11 shots the rest of the way.
Big Blue is idle until Wednesday (April 9) when Gordon College comes to Biddeford for a 4 p.m. match.
