SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- University of New England men's basketball player Devin Thompson has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for the period ending November 16.

The junior guard averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.5 steals in UNE's 1-1 start to the season. He opened with a 12-point, 11-rebound, seven-assist, six-steal performance during a 66-41 win over Maine Maritime. Thompson then dropped in a career-best 31 points, which included four treys and a 13-of-13 effort at the charity stripe, in a last-second setback to Middlebury (69-67) in the final of the Ramada Roundball Invitational.
