CASCO, Maine -- The University of New England posted a score of 340 on Tuesday (Sep. 24) at Point Sebago Golf Club, resulting in a 4th-place finish out of the six competing teams at the John Queenan Memorial hosted by Saint Joseph's College. Husson University claimed the event title with a total of 316.

Following the Eagles in the team standings was the University of Southern Maine at 328. The host Monks, featuring medalist Mike Caron with a 2-over-par 74, took third place at 334.

Senior Andy Emery led the Nor'easters with an 81 and a tie for seventh individually. Sophomore Paul Butkevich carded an 83 in support, before first-years Ryan Mahoney (87) and Sam Kinasewich (89) rounded out the scoring for Big Blue. Sophomore Troy Eaton recorded a 93 in his first appearance of the season.

UNE will be back on the links Friday at the Southern Maine Cup. The modified-format event is set to tee off at Noon at Gorham Country Club.
