STANDISH, Maine -- Members of the University of New England men's cross country team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Running Monks Invitational held at Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday (Oct. 12).

Led by individual winner Sean Colford, the Emmanuel College Saints won the event with a team score of 67. Norwich University, Johnson & Wales University, Thomas College and Saint Joseph's College each finished ahead of UNE, which totaled 139.

Junior Peter LePage placed in the Top 10 to lead the way for UNE, registering a time of 29:08. Junior Sean Hanrahan (30:03) and sophomore Peter Swan (30:14) went back-to-back in 30th and 31st place, respectively, while junior Ben McGinnis (37th - 30:40) and sophomore Gabe Turner (41st - 30:46) rounded out the scoring runners for Big Blue.

UNE returns to competition Friday (Oct. 18) at the Emmanuel College Invitational held at historic Franklin Park in Boston.
