Ravens shutout Nor'easters for second win

RINDGE, N.H. -- Franklin Pierce University erupted for four 2nd-period goals on its way to a 6-0 triumph over the University of New England in women's ice hockey action Friday evening (Nov. 30) at the Ritchie Ice Arena.

Six different players scored for the Ravens (2-5), who, like the Nor'easters (0-4), are in their inagural season of competition. Hayley Arnold, Karsyn Baker, Morgan Cahill, Colleen Doucette, and Michelle Faia each had a goal and an assist for Franklin Pierce, which finished with a 42-10 advantage in shots during the contest.

FPU added two goals in the 3rd period to provide the final margin.

Ravens goalie Amelea Gray recorded 10 stops in just under 55 minutes of action for the hosts, while her counterpart, first-year Samantha Scobee, saved 36 shots in the setback for UNE.

Both sides return to the ice Saturday afternoon (2 p.m.) for another game at Franklin Pierce.
