Meet Results
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England women's swimming team jumped out to a 44-10 lead after three events on its way to a 128-89 victory over Husson University Saturday (Nov. 17) afternoon at the Campus Center.
The win was the third in four starts for the Nor'easters, while the Eagles fell for the first time in three outings on the season. After its quick start, UNE went to exhibition scoring for five of the 14 events.
Sophomore
Emily Zeimetz (Rochester, N.H.) picked up a pair of individual wins to help lead the way for Big Blue. She was first in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.74) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:28.38).
Junior
Jenn La Comfora (Worcester, Mass.) and sophomore
Kelly Dolyak (Cheshire, Conn.) each won an individual event and were part of UNE's winning 200-yard medley relay entry. La Comfora was victorious in the 50-yard free (27.30), and Dolyak the 200-yard free (2:07.78). Senior

Sam Briggs (Oakland, Maine) joined La Comfora and Dolyak to win the relay.
Also earning wins for the Nor'easters were senior
Meaghan Arsenault (Methuen, Mass.), first-year
Rachael Romain (Rockford, Mich.) and sophomore
Erin Page (Arlington, Va.). Arsenault was first in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:24.87), Romain the 50-yard breaststroke (35.75), and Page the 100-yard backstroke (1:11.35).
Sophomores Erin Benner (Morrow, Ohio) and Patience Wilson (Brewer, Maine) and first-year Katrina Aman (Lakeville, Mass.) had victories for Husson -- Benner in the 50-back (32.61), Wilson the 50-yard fly (34.52), and Aman the 100-yard breaststroke (1:27.04).
Each squad has a bit of a layoff before returning to action. Next up for UNE is the Snowball Invitational hosted by Roger Williams University Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Husson will compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship at Simmons College Dec. 1-2.
