BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Trailing 1-0 at the half, top-seeded Bridgewater State University got goals from Beth Phillips and Carissa Vizakis in the middle of the second frame to come back and edge No. 4 University of New England, 2-1, in a semifinal-round contest of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Field Hockey Championship played Saturday afternoon (Nov. 10) at Swenson Field.
BSU (18-3) moves on to the final and will face the winner between No. 2 Keene State College and No. 3 Plymouth State University, which will occur later in the day.
The Nor'easters conclude their 2012 campaign with a record of 11-10.

Emily Koehler (Pelham, N.H.) put the visitors in front on the scoreboard in the 17th minute, deflecting a shot off the stick of junior
Hayley LaPointe (Topsham, Maine) into the back of the net.
UNE carried the margin into halftime, despite Bridgewater State holding advantages in both shots (9-7) and penalty corners (6-4).
Phillips leveled things in the 45th minute after a scramble in the middle, and Vizakis poked in a rebound in the 56th minute.
Big Blue was awarded five penalty corners down the stretch, but could not even the score. In the final 35 minutes, UNE led 12-10 in shot attempts and 13-3 in corner tries.
Cassie Johansen posted seven saves for the Bears, while her counterpart, Nor'easters sophomore
Kaitlyn Warren (Boscawen, N.H.) recorded nine stops.
